About the roles

Working from our customer site at the Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG Edinburgh), you will be responsible for specialist support to Electronic Warfare Countermeasure Development & Validation (CMD&V). You will have the opportunity to work both autonomously and as part of a team to produce CMD&V products that meet our client’s complex technical environment.

The project seeks to provide broad, end-to-end commercial support arrangements for industry to deliver long-term specialist advice to cutting edge Defence airborne platforms.

About you

Highly proficient in Electronic Warfare, you have recent experience in sensors and countermeasures development across Radio Frequency and/or Electro Optic electromagnetic domains. You are flexible, possess good communication and interpersonal skills and can present complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You must be an Australian citizen and either hold or are willing to hold a minimum NV1 Defence Security Clearance (NV2 ideally). Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications from permanent residents or visa holders due to the nature of our work.

Skills and experience

The following are essential in applying for this position:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in software/computer systems engineering, computer science, physics or related fields
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 4-5 years professional experience in a similar role (defence or otherwise)

We are interested in any of the following skills and experience:

  • Direct experience in RF and/or EO countermeasure technique development
  • Experience with planning and participating in field trials
  • Analysis of data to derive recommendations from source data
  • Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink
