About the opportunity

As part of our continued growth, we are pleased to invite applications for the newly created position of Senior Systems Engineer.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager and based at Mawson Lakes or our new office in the Adelaide CBD, you will support the effort to deliver our Simulation and Land Vehicle programs into Defence.

This is an exciting time to join us; you will be exposed to the full systems engineering life cycle and as we build our portfolio of work, lead a growing team.

In terms of specific responsibilities, you will:

  • Undertake system definition/high level, preliminary and detailed design
  • Provide requirements analysis and management with the use of requirements management tools such as DOORS, Visure Requirements etc.
  • Act as the point of contact for all project stakeholders
  • Analyse and develop internal and external interface requirements
  • Implement, integrate, verify and validate systems and subsystems
  • Contribute to system reviews such as PDR, CDR and TRR
  • Contribute to workshops and working groups with our clients
  • Implement systems engineering processes

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Solid below the line systems engineering experience in a defence environment
  • Experience in systems design and development, and test and evaluation
  • The ability to drive technical outcomes
  • A flexible approach to working on multiple projects
  • A tertiary qualification in electrical, electronics, mechanical, hardware, mechatronics or software

While not essential, experience working on projects for ASDEFCON complex programs will be highly regarded.

Special conditions

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain clearance to NV1 level.

Baseline clearance as a minimum, will be required on commencement.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
